Meet Your Trainer

Kim Roche, CDBC, CPDT-KA

For over twenty-five years, Kim Roche has helped thousands of dogs of all breeds, temperaments and sizes with her simple, compassionate and effective methods. She began her career in dogs in 2001 when she was invited to apprentice with Lee Mannix at the Lee Mannix Center for Canine Behavior, eventually becoming his head trainer. In late 2004, she started her own company to focus on developing her own unique training and teaching style. She is certified by the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants as one of only 200 Certified Dog Behavior Consultants in the world.

Education and skill-building are incredibly important to Kim. She has spent time in close study with a diverse range of leading trainers and behaviorists, including a trip to England for an intensive course with John Rogerson, one of the world's most highly regarded experts in dog aggression and behavior. She continues to keep abreast of new developments in the field by attending seminars and conferences whenever her schedule permits. Most recently, she completed a rigorous course of study with Malena DeMartini-Price to become a Certified Separation Anxiety Trainer. She is also an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator and is certified in Fear Free handling techniques.

When Kim is not training dogs, you can find her onstage performing comedy at ColdTowne Theater or playing bass with her Bollywood band Sacred Cowgirls.
